Apply for SCA Membership
Thank you for your interest in joining the SCA! We’re excited to meet you! For more info about our membership application process or to contact us for a tour, please check out our FAQ or send us an email!
Please read and follow these instructions carefully. On average, it takes around 3 weeks from the date of submission to fully process an application. During busier or slower times it may take a little less or more time. We recommend submitting your application at least one month before you would like to move in. You may request an expedited process if needed, but our ability to do so will vary. Applications are typically processed in the order in which they are received.
If a house is interested in your application, you may be contacted for an interview before we vote on your membership.

Read it thoroughly and make sure it’s complete! When you’re done, please send us the complete app and all associated documents here:
Applications can also be completed and submitted by hand, but make sure you use INK and not pencil!

Apply as a Boarder
A "Boarder” is someone who does not live at the co-ops and is not a full member, but pays into a house’s food plan and joins us for house meals. Boarders are often friends of the house, or potential members who want to spend time with us before deciding to apply. If you’re still on the fence, becoming a boarder may be a a good way to figure out if a co-op is a good fit for you!
Our houses are currently accepting boarders by special request only.

Apply as a Guest
The SCA houses do sometimes accept guests and visitors for short periods of time! If you’re considering applying from out of town and want to come see us in person, a member of another co-op on a road trip, or just a stranger passing through town and passionate about cooperative life, consider stopping by for a night and saying hi!
Each house has it’s own policies, requirements, and preferences regarding guests, and our ability to host changes frequently.
We are currently only accepting guests by special request. If you’d like to visit us, please contact us to see if we’re available!
